Disability Living Allowance for children in Scotland
Payment of Disability Living Allowance (DLA) for children in Scotland is transferring from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to Social Security Scotland.
A new benefit called Child Disability Payment is replacing DLA for children in Scotland. There will be no change to the amount you are paid.
Children and young people in Scotland will continue to get Child Disability Payment until they are 18.
ILF SCOTLAND TRANSITION FUND
If you’re aged 15 to 25 with a disability or impairment you can apply to the Transition Fund for money to help you take part in a new activity or learn a skill.
To apply for the Transition Fund, you’ll need to apply to ILF Scotland.
Scottish Welfare Fund
The Scottish Welfare Fund helps families and people in Scotland who are on low incomes.
BEST START GRANT AND BEST START FOODS
Best Start Grant and Best Start Foods are payments that help towards the costs of being pregnant or looking after a child.
